Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between solid and engineered hardwood?

Solid hardwood is milled from a single piece of wood and can be refinished many times. Engineered hardwood has a real wood veneer over a plywood core and handles moisture better. We install both.

Can hardwood be installed in kitchens or bathrooms?

Solid hardwood is not recommended for high-moisture areas. Engineered hardwood is a better choice for kitchens. We'll help you choose the right product for each room.

How long does hardwood installation take?

After acclimation (typically 3–5 days), installation of an average room takes 1–2 days. Whole-home projects take longer depending on scope.
